Guitar straps inspired by Zanzibar.
Zanzibar is a place where the scent of cloves and cinnamon blends with the salty sea breeze. Stone Town beckons with its narrow streets full of history, colorful doors, and markets packed with exotic spices. The white sandy beaches and turquoise waters are a paradise for surfers and backpackers seeking close contact with nature. The hot sun, blazing sand, and endless waves create perfect conditions for both adventure and relaxation. Local fishermen return each morning with fresh catches, while the island’s flavors, from spicy biryani to sweet tropical fruits linger long after the journey ends. Zanzibar is an island full of colors, scents, and stories that stay with you forever.
The vibrant colors of this place let me create a series of guitar straps inspired by Zanzibar. The turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and sun drenched streets influenced the choice of bright, lively fabrics. While the rich hues of spice markets and colorful doors shaped intricate patterns and textures. Walking through Stone Town and along the coast, I collected small swatches of fabrics and observed how light, shadow, and color interacted in daily life. These experiences translated directly into my strap designs. Resulting in pieces that capture the island’s warmth, energy, and exotic charm, allowing musicians to wear a vivid reminder of Zanzibar’s beauty every day.
