Saigon Tailor Vintage Guitar Strap is a handmade guitar strap from the Mr.Strapsky World Series Vietnamcollection, made from fabrics I brought back from my trip to Vietnam. On the outside you’ll find a dark grey suiting fabric. A nicely woven material with an elegant texture. The kind of fabric you could easily imagine being turned into a good jacket or a full suit.

That’s exactly what gives the Saigon Tailor Vintage Guitar Strap its calm, classic character.

But the real story starts on the inside. The inner side of the strap is made from a silk fabric blended with cotton. This way the material keeps the softness and subtle shine of silk, but becomes much stronger and more practical.

 Pure silk would simply be too thin and too delicate for a guitar strap. I’m not sure it would survive your riffs and life on stage.

 So I chose a fabric that keeps the elegance of silk but is ready for real playing. The result is a strap that feels incredibly nice against the skin. You can comfortably wear it directly on your shoulder without a shirt if you want.

 During my trip I also visited a place in Vietnam where silk is produced. I was able to see the entire process, from silkworms to finished fabric. I also learned the only real way to recognize true 100% silk. It was a fascinating lesson in craftsmanship and materials. This model is available in two widths.

2 inch is the classic guitar strap width. Lightweight, versatile and comfortable for both electric and acoustic guitars.

3 inch is for players who like wider straps. It spreads the weight of the guitar across your shoulder and gives even more comfort during long playing sessions.

Inside the strap there is also a strong polypropylene webbing that forms the core structure of the strap. It makes the strap extremely durable and easily holds your guitar and your ego.

The strap ends are made from top quality natural leather with a subtle sheen.

Each strap is handmade in Poland in a small Mr.Strapsky workshop.

The vintage character of the Saigon Tailor Vintage Guitar Strap pairs beautifully with classic guitars like Fender Stratocaster or Gibson Les Paul.
